Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you are renovating and the tiling is completed we can usually measure within the next 2 working days.

  • Our lead time for installation is usually approximately 5-7 working days pending your glass selection.

  • Yes, providing we are installing a new shower screen and pending a site inspection and measure.

  • We offer a range of glass options, for both laminated glass and toughened glass. These include clear white and patterned laminated glass, as well as clear and starphire toughened glass in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm thickness (depending on shower screen type).

  • Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is a processed glass which is four to five times stronger than float glass. Due to its strength, it is used for safety purposes, hence it is also called safety glass or tempered safety glass. Ezyglide uses only toughened glass for all its shower screens.

  • Regular clear glass has a green tint due to the process of iron. Starphire glass, or low iron glass, is a clearer type of glass where the green tint has been heavily reduced.

  • Ideally you should wipe down your hinges and other hardware and use a squeegee on the glass every time you shower. If that’s not possible, then do it once a week at least. Ezy Glide recommends using methylated spirits diluted with water (1 parts to 2) with a clean cloth, although white vinegar or soapy water are also fine.

Do not use bristle brushes or scrubbing pads on the glass or anodised aluminium surfaces. Also, do not use cleaners containing bleach or ammonia, as they can tarnish or corrode the metal surfaces and degrade plastic inserts.

  • Yes, our shower screens are made with laminated or toughened glass which complies with Australian Standards AS 1288 and AS/NZS 2208.
